James Polite is now in custody after surveillance tape showed him to be the suspect in the anti Semitic graffiti writings in a New York synagogue. He was also charged for lighting fires around several other places of Jewish worship. Mr Polite grew up in foster care, but was “adopted” by the Democratic Quinn Administration in Manhattan, and given special attention that included prep school, an internship, and financial aid. He rallied for Barrack Obama and the gay community, and is reportedly close to getting a degree in African American studies and Political Science. He was placed in foster care in 2013 with a couple who specifically wanted an LGBTQ youth to foster.
He was arrested in the same clothes he was wearing in the videos, and has been charged with criminal mischief as a hate crime, and graffiti, He is accused of scrawling the words “Hitler” and “Jews better be ready” “and Die Jew rats” among others. Officers took him to the psychiatric ward at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn for examination.
There has been no comment from the Department of Justice regarding any possible Federal hate crime charges as have been pursued in other cases, such as the events in Charlottesville.
